WELCOME TO MY MERCH AND LIFESTYLE BRAND YA'LL!

ABOUT

In the Dominican Republic they're known as "colmados" and depending on the U.S. region it may be a convenience store, deli, or grocery store — for the Dominican U.S. diaspora it's a BODEGA. A transnational story of migration, culture, and immigrant hustle; these businesses have existed as community staples and illustrates a part of Dominican history that has played a role in music and pop culture. Growing up a bodega baby, a lot of my personal formation took place in la bodega: The endless lectures you received from parents, workers and community elders, the music played both inside and outside, and the business managment you naturally adopt from being in the environment. When thinking about what I wanted to rename this brand era it popped clear as day: Bodega Baby. This brand is my (Jennifer Mota) lifestyle and culture line embracing all aspects of Dominicanidad in the states and beyond. Welcome!
